After bidding farewell to RFK Stadium, the DC United soccer team will be playing the new season at their new home at Buzzard Point. The new 20,000-seat stadium is being built by Turner Construction and will include approximately 14K SF of retail and a 40K SF public plaza at an estimated cost of $300M. The Stadium is the first major development at Buzzard Point with a number of developers, including Akridge and MRP Realty, finalizing developments near the site.

The new project, Penn11, is being developed by Perseus Realty and Westbrook Partners and will feature 34 condominiums and the new 8500SF Fragers Hardware. According to the Washington Business Journal, the property was purchased by an affiliate of Four Points Development for $13M and plans include 66 apartments built above approximately 7,000SF of retail. Construction is progressing at the new Cleveland Park library located at 3310 Connecticut Ave, NW. The library, designed by Perkins Eastman and built by Gilbane, will be built to LEED-Gold Certification.
